Eric Wilcox
Eric
arrived
to
the
Goldston
School
for
Mimes
in
1983,
inspired
by
the
dazzling
technique,
in-
depth
curriculum
and
expansive
vision
for
mime
art,
he
ran
with
his
hard
won
skills
for
more than 1500 performances across the
US
over
fifteen
years.
In
San
Francisco
he
produced
the
SF
Buffoons,
receiving
grant
support
and
residencies
to
create
five
original
productions in a unique grotesk style.
When he lived in Istanbul, Turkey, Eric
presented his English language historical solo
play ‘Oscar Wilde in San Francisco’ to sold out
audiences and teaches theater to young people.
He is working in Europe as MMR - Mind
Movement Research with German partner Jan
Romberg. They are celebrating the true cross-
cultural possibilities of pantomime, performing
their wordless shows "Imagine! Now!" and
"Pronk" for German, Italian, Armenian, and
Turkish audiences.
He has been teaching with Gregg Goldston in
the GMI summer school, on the 32nd
International Mime festival Dresden 2014. In
Istanbul he has taught mime workshops
focusing on Decroux technique at the Panto-
mime Conservatory in Istanbul University, and
at Mimdepo. In 2015 he was the artistic director
of mime>summer and taught together with
Reza Keshavarz and Jan Romberg.
Aleksandar Acev
leksandar Acev (Croatia) is a contemporary
mime, teacher and director for phyisical theatre.
As a teacher for movement and coach he is
working in the field of performing arts ( acting,
mime, singing, cabaret, puppetry ) and
communication. In the last two decades he was
leading projects and workshops in more than 20
countries allaround Europe.
He studied mime at the School of Applied Arts
and Design in Zagreb and the Moving Academy
for Performing Arts in Amsterdam.
He is performing with (among others) Groupe
Dunes, Karina Holla, Griftheater, Wunderbaum,
Theater Exit and does solo appearances in 15
different countries, as well as in film and
television productions. He is also known for
collaborations with eg.g Berliner
Philharmoniker, Klavier Festival Ruhr, Lucerne
Festival, Macedonian National Theater in
Skopje, or National Theater of Istria in Rijeka.
Also his prison theater at the Tegel Correctional
Facility got some public attention.
Aleksandars teaching activities are at the Ernst
Busch Academy of Dramatic Art, the Hochschule
für Darstellende Künste Hamburg, the Alanus
Hochschule, the Frankfurt University Music and
Performing Arts, the Hochschule für Musik
Basel, the New Bulgarian University Sofia, the
ADU Skopje, Etage Berlin, the Mime Centrum
Berlin, the Los Kurbas Center Kiev, the Gate
Festival at Newcastle ad many more.
Brian Latini
Brian Latini is a dancer, actor and singer. He
started form dance at Opera’s ballets. In 2005
he graduated in Sport Science University in
Rome. In 2007 he joined Jobelgroup and
developed his research with Lorenzo Cognatti.
The main goal of the research is to connect
different techniques to explore body
language with vocal dynamics experimented by
Jobel Group since 2000 in collaboration with
singers, vocal coaches and professors of
phonetics. Since 2007 he performs in most
of Jobel Group’s showsand Events in Italy and
abroad. In 2014 he won two prizes with
THE KID by Charlie Chaplin.
JOBEL GROUP: Atristic Organization founded by
Lorenzo Cognatti specialized in research,
production and education. Recognized by The
Italian Ministry of Culture as National Artistic
Residence. Since 2000 productions, events,
workshops in Italy and abroad.
